Hi, I’m Naomi — a wife, mama of five, and Christian parenting coach who knows what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, reactive, and unsure how to respond to my kid’s emotional overwhelm. For years, I wanted to parent differently than the way I was raised, but I didn’t know how. Through my own healing journey, God began teaching me how to move from control and chaos into becoming a calm, joyful parent, knowing how to help my kids handle their big emotions and handling my own as well. Now I help other Christian parents do the same—parenting from a place of peace, grace, and grounded presence. I am here to support and guide you as you create a joy-filled home rooted in God’s love, where your children feel safe, seen, and deeply known.
If you’re ready to parent with peace instead of stress, to respond with grace instead of frustration, and to build a home filled with connection, joy, and the presence of God—this podcast is for you. Let’s go deep to grow strong together!

Have you ever felt so worn out that the smallest things suddenly feel so overwhelming?
In today’s episode, I’m talking about the kind of exhaustion that keeps us moving long after we have run out of energy—the exhaustion that can leave us feeling overwhelmed, short-tempered, and snapping at the people we love most.
It’s not about trying harder or doing it perfectly. This is an invitation to bring compassion to the tired, frustrated parts of your heart and get curious about what may be hiding underneath the exhaustion. Could there be a fear that you are not enough? A fear that everything will fall apart if you slow down?
Together, we will gently explore those questions and remember the beautiful truth that Jesus does not ask us to earn His love through productivity, perfection, or holding everything together. He sees your weary heart, and He invites you to come close, lay your burdens down, and receive His grace.
I would love for you to join my Facebook group, and receive encouragement and support from other mamas who get it! You can join here: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1HyMSYoP8E/

Have you ever yelled at your child and then wondered, Why did I react so strongly?
In this episode, I’m sharing a personal story about finding my 7-year-old hiding with my phone — and how quickly my mind jumped to fear, panic, and worst-case scenarios. But instead of reacting from that fear, God gently helped me pause, get curious, and create safety for an honest conversation.
So often, what looks like anger or yelling in our parenting is really fear trying to protect what we love. Fear about our child’s safety, their future, our ability to guide them well, or what their behavior might mean.
Together, we’ll talk about how to recognize the fear beneath our anger, how a “Stormy First Draft” can help us separate the facts from the fear story, and how inviting Jesus into those tender places can help us respond with more wisdom, connection, and peace.
If you have been feeling discouraged by your reactions or longing to parent with more gentleness, I pray this episode reminds you that your fear and anger make sense — and that Jesus is not afraid to meet you there.

Have you ever wondered why your child seems to fall apart over the smallest things—like the wrong color bowl, a scratchy tag, brushing teeth, or hearing the word “no”?
In this episode, I’m talking about difficult, strong-willed, and highly sensitive children—and the one heart shift that can make such a difference in how we see them and respond to them.
We’ll talk about “orchid” children, why some kiddos are naturally more intense and slower to adapt, and how their big reactions are not a sign that you are failing as a mom. I’ll also share how many of the traits we often label negatively in children—stubborn, bossy, defiant, difficult—can actually become beautiful strengths when they are lovingly guided and supported.
Most of all, I want to help you move from seeing your child as “giving you a hard time” to seeing that they are having a hard time. Because when we can see the tender heart underneath the difficulty, our own hearts begin to soften too.
If you are parenting a child who feels intense, sensitive, strong-willed, or challenging, this episode is here to offer you compassion, hope, and a reminder that you do not have to break their spirit to guide them well.
If your heart is longing for more support through a challenging season, I would love to offer you one-on-one coaching (at a discounted price!) Visit: www.listeninghearts.family/gift to learn more.

Have you ever noticed that some of the hardest parenting moments happen when your child is being asked to transition?
Getting into the car. Leaving the park. Getting out of the bath. Moving toward bedtime. Turning off the show. Stopping one thing and moving to the next.
In this episode, I’m sharing a tender story from our family’s first beach vacation and how the slow-paced joy of my children helped me reconnect with something deeper: the gift of slowing down.
Together, we’ll talk about why peace and rushing cannot co-exist, how our children’s resistance to transitions may be inviting us to slow down instead of push harder, and how fun and silliness can gently help our kids move through change with more connection.
If you’ve been feeling caught in the go, go, go pace of life, I pray this episode encourages you to embrace the gift of summertime, let some good things go, and create more space for what matters most: deep connection, peace in your home, and joy in the precious ordinary moments right in front of you.

Do you ever feel like your child’s behavior is pressing every button you have? Whether it’s whining, hitting, teasing, name-calling, potty words, or another challenging phase, these moments can leave us feeling triggered, discouraged, and wondering if anything will ever change.
In this episode, we are looking beneath the behavior with two powerful questions: What need is this behavior meeting for my child? And what fear is this behavior triggering in me?
Together, we’ll talk about how to approach our children’s challenging behaviors with curiosity instead of fear, how to recognize the deeper needs and skills underneath the struggle, and how to return to the one thing that truly changes everything: love.
If you are longing to parent with more peace, connection, clarity, and grace, this episode will encourage your heart and remind you that you do not have to respond perfectly to respond with love.

Have you ever snapped at your child… and then felt that wave of guilt afterward?
Maybe you raised your voice, lost your patience, or said something you wish you could take back—and now you’re wondering, “Am I going to mess up my kids?”
In today’s episode of Peaceful Christian Parenting, we’re talking about one of the most powerful (and often overlooked) tools in parenting: repair.
Through a real and honest story from my own motherhood, I’m walking you through a gentle, step-by-step process to reconnect with your child after you lose it—without shame, pressure, or perfection.
You’ll learn:
Why repair actually strengthens your child’s emotional health
What happens in your child’s brain after conflict (and why it matters)
How to offer a simple, meaningful apology (without over-explaining or guilt)
A practical, grace-filled step-by-step plan to rebuild connection
How to release mom guilt and step into growth instead
Because in Christian parenting, it’s not about being perfect— it’s about being willing to come back, reconnect, and lead with love.

Family vacations are meant to be full of joy and connection… but if you’re parenting young kids, you know they can also bring their fair share of chaos, overwhelm, and unexpected moments.
In today’s episode, I’m sharing a real and relatable story from one of our family trips—complete with loud restaurants, tired kiddos, and a moment where I had a choice: react from pressure and embarrassment… or respond with grace.
We’ll talk about the quiet but powerful shift God placed on my heart—extravagant grace—and how it’s been transforming the way I show up in those overstimulating, out-of-routine moments.
You’ll be encouraged to:
Release the pressure to be a “perfect” parent in public
Understand what’s really going on beneath your child’s behavior
Respond with calm, connection, and flexibility (even when it’s hard)
Extend the same grace to yourself that you offer your children
This episode is a gentle reminder that your child doesn’t need a perfectly controlled environment—they need a regulated, grace-filled parent.
And friend… that includes giving yourself grace, too.
If you’re longing to bring more peace, connection, and confidence into your parenting, I’d love to invite you into our Listening Hearts Facebook community, where we walk this journey together 🤍

Have you ever found yourself stuck in the same parenting patterns… reacting in ways you wish you wouldn’t… and then feeling like a failure?
Friend, if that’s you—you are not alone. And more than that… you’re not failing.
In today’s episode, we’re gently unpacking the cycle of mom guilt and self-judgment so many of us carry, and exploring how God meets us right in the middle of it—not with pressure to “get it right,” but with grace, compassion, and an invitation into deeper healing.
You’ll hear a personal story of betrayal and forgiveness, and how God revealed a powerful truth about the path of growth—not as a straight line, but as a circular journey He lovingly walks us through again and again.
We’ll talk about:
Why you keep revisiting the same triggers and reactions
How forgiveness (for others and yourself) is a process—not a one-time moment
The freedom that comes when you release perfection and embrace grace
How God uses even your hardest moments to draw you closer to His heart
If you’ve been carrying the weight of feeling like you should be further along… or that you “should know better by now”… this episode is for you.
You are not behind. You are not broken. You are being gently led into healing.
If this resonates with your heart and you’re longing for support as you walk through these patterns, I would love to walk alongside you.
Inside my one-on-one coaching space, we gently explore these deeper layers—inviting Jesus into your story, building emotional awareness, and helping you move from reactivity to calm, confident connection with your kids.

Today’s episode is a deeply special one for our family. 💛
We are celebrating Gotcha Day for our two sweet boys, and with May being Foster Care Awareness Month, it felt like the perfect time to share a glimpse into our foster and adoption journey.
In this episode, my husband Nick joins me as we sit down and interview each other about the road God has led us on—the calling, the unknowns, the stretching, and the beauty we’ve experienced along the way. We talk honestly about grief and joy, how this journey has shaped our hearts and our family, and the ways we’ve seen God’s faithfulness in the midst of it all.
Our prayer is that this conversation would gently encourage your heart—whether you are walking the foster/adoption path, supporting someone who is, or simply feeling God stir something new within you.
And if you’re longing for a place to connect with other like-minded mamas who are seeking to parent with peace, faith, and intention, I’d love to invite you into our Facebook community. It’s a safe, grace-filled space where we walk this journey together. 🤍 Join Here: www.facebook.com/share
This journey has been sacred, costly, and full of grace… and we are so grateful for the story God is writing.
