Hi, I’m Naomi — a wife, mama of five, and Christian parenting coach who knows what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, reactive, and unsure how to respond to my kid’s emotional overwhelm. For years, I wanted to parent differently than the way I was raised, but I didn’t know how. Through my own healing journey, God began teaching me how to move from control and chaos into becoming a calm, joyful parent, knowing how to help my kids handle their big emotions and handling my own as well. Now I help other Christian parents do the same—parenting from a place of peace, grace, and grounded presence. I am here to support and guide you as you create a joy-filled home rooted in God’s love, where your children feel safe, seen, and deeply known.
If you’re ready to parent with peace instead of stress, to respond with grace instead of frustration, and to build a home filled with connection, joy, and the presence of God—this podcast is for you. Let’s go deep to grow strong together!

Have you ever felt completely overwhelmed by your child’s tantrums—like their emotions instantly trigger yours, and before you know it, you’re both melting down? I’ve been there too, mama.
In this episode, I’m unpacking what’s really going on during those big emotional outbursts and how you can stay calm, connected, and confident even when your child loses it. We’ll talk about the nervous system science behind tantrums, how your calm presence helps your child’s brain return to peace, and why punishment doesn’t work the way we think it does.
You’ll also hear a personal story from my own motherhood journey—one that taught me how fear, healing, and the Holy Spirit all play a role in helping us parent with grace.
If you’ve ever wondered, “Why can’t my child just calm down?” or “Why do I lose it when they do?”—this episode will bring clarity, compassion, and hope.
What You’ll Learn
Why tantrums are a healthy and necessary part of your child’s development
How to recognize your child’s (and your own) nervous system zones—green, red, and blue
What’s really happening when kids “calm down” after punishment
How to help your child process emotions through play and connection
How healing your own emotional wounds allows you to parent with peace and presence
My Key Takeaway
Tantrums aren’t proof that something’s wrong—they’re proof that your child’s body is doing exactly what it’s meant to do: release big emotions. My calm presence is what helps my child’s nervous system return to safety and peace. When I let God meet me in my own triggers, I can become the calm my child needs.
Reflect & Pray
I encourage you to pause and reflect on these questions after listening:
How do your child’s tantrums make your body feel?
What old fears or stories rise up in you when your child loses control?
How might God be inviting healing in you so you can show up with His peace?
Take a moment to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to bring calm and compassion into those tender places.

If you’ve ever felt torn between wanting to stay calm and loving and needing to hold firm boundaries with your kids, you’re not alone. I know how tricky it can be to find that balance between grace and structure — especially when the chaos starts to rise!
In today’s episode, I’m sharing three secrets to creating healthy, Christ-centered boundaries that protect your peace and help your children grow in wisdom and responsibility. We’ll talk about how to root boundaries in your values (not “because I said so”), how to know when to set them, and how to navigate consequences that teach rather than punish.
You’ll walk away knowing how to create boundaries that actually build connection, not conflict — and reflect God’s heart for peace in your home.
Take a few minutes after listening to pray through these reflection questions:
What are our family’s top three values right now?
Are our boundaries consistent with those values?
Am I focusing on the yes behind every no?
What skills are my children needing my support right now to learn, and how can I lovingly support them through my boundaries?
If you’re ready to set peaceful, faith-filled boundaries that bring calm and connection to your parenting, I’d love to invite you to join my 6-Week Peaceful Christian Parenting Class.

Have you ever wondered, “How do I help my kids not lose it emotionally—and how do I keep from losing it when they do?”That was my question for a long time.
I used to be caught in the cycle of reacting, feeling guilty, and hating how I showed up. I wanted so badly to parent differently than how I was raised, but I didn’t know how. I even hid in the bathroom during my kids’ tantrums just so I wouldn’t explode.
But that’s not my story anymore. God has walked me through such a healing journey—and now I have tools that help me hold my emotions safely, so I can hold my children’s emotions safely too.
In this episode, I’m sharing my 4-step process called The 4 S’s: Safe, Soothed, Seen, and Supported. We’ll talk about how to move from chaos and overwhelm into calm connection—by understanding our emotions the way God designed them and learning how to co-regulate with our kids.
If you’re longing for calmer days and deeper connection with your kids, I think this episode will really encourage your heart. So grab your favorite warm drink, take a deep breath, and let’s dive in.
In this episode, I talk about:
My personal story of breaking free from emotional reactivity and guilt
How our beliefs about emotions often start in childhood
Seeing emotions not as “good” or “bad,” but as messengers God can use
What the Bible shows us about how God honors our emotions (Psalm 56)
The 4 S’s framework for emotional connection:
Safe – calming your own body first so your child can borrow your calm
Soothed – practical tools like prayer, deep breathing, movement, laughter, and hugs
Seen – helping your child feel known, valued, and understood in their emotions
Supported – gently guiding them toward growth after connection is restored
Scriptures mentioned:
Psalm 56:8 – God keeps our tears in His bottle
Genesis 16 – “The God who sees me”
Psalm 23 – How the Lord, our Shepherd, models the 4 S’s for us
Reflect and pray:
Which of the 4 S’s do I naturally offer my child? Which one do I need to grow in?
How did my parents handle emotions when I was growing up, and how has that shaped me?
What skills are my children needing my support to learn right now, and how can I lovingly guide them?

Is Proverbs really against gentle parenting? Today I’m diving into some of the most quoted “rod” verses—Proverbs 22:15, 23:14, and 26:3—and uncovering the Hebrew meaning and cultural context behind them. For years, these scriptures were used in my home to justify spanking, but as I’ve studied Hebrew and lived in Israel, I’ve discovered a very different picture.
In this episode, I’ll share my own story of growing up under fear-based discipline, why I longed to parent differently, and how these verses actually point us toward authority rooted in wisdom, teaching, and guidance—not punishment. And ultimately, we’ll look at how Proverbs aligns with the heart of Jesus: strong yet gentle, full of grace and truth.
If you’ve ever wrestled with how to reconcile the book of Proverbs with gentle, Christ-centered parenting, this conversation will give you fresh insight and encouragement.
Takeaway: Parenting like Jesus means shaping hearts, not breaking wills.
